The former Yarmouth CE Primary School was closed in December 2022 and the premises and associated land is being marketed by the Isle of Wight Council. Yarmouth Town Council successfully applied to register the property as an Asset of Community value, details of which can be found here: AVC.
A Steering Group was formed with the aim of retaining the site as a community educational resource for generations to come, and Yarmouth Town Council and the Group have been consulting residents in recent months. As a result of those consultations, the Steering Group presented a bid for the School premises to the the Site Agents on 16/8/23, and the proposals underlying that bid can be found here: Yarmouth School Site August 2023 Presentation.
